My copy of Kevin Rileys Internet Marketing Private Workshop package has now arrived and looks fairly impressive; 8 CDs, a workbook and a thick shrink wrapped bundle of worksheets all enclosed in a sturdy plastic folio.

The Product Creation Labs Private Workshop Package
As soon as the package arrived I opened it and had a quick look through the workbook. The complexity and enormity of the project then hit me. My first reaction, skimming through the workbook, is that there was no way I will have the skills and confidence to complete the course. The course covers everything from helping me assess my existing skills and strengths, through how to research the market to find a profitable niche I will feel happy with, analysing the competition and potential customers, choosing a title for the book, finding someone to create the graphics for the cover, writing the book itself and getting screenshots and photos to include in it, requesting reviews, setting up an autoresponder and preparing newsletters for my Mailing List, creating a sales page, installing automated delivery software, finding affiliates, and getting traffic.
Just looking at the large number of tasks required to publish my book looked frightening!
After getting over the initial shock I looked at the workbook again and was reassured to see how the whole project had been split into 35 small daily chunks, each with at least one accompanying video on the CDs.
Included in the package was a Quick Start CD. I watched the three Quick Start videos on this CD and Kevin explained the structure of the course. He also gave details of the private forum set up to accompany the course where students ask him questions and can share ideas together and encourage each other. Finally Kevin gave details of how we could earn some money by registering as affiliates.
As a result of watching these Quick Start videos I signed up with the Private Workshop forum and then created an affiliate website.
